Long French Dress in Deep Blueblluemade
Our newest french dress style takes everything we loved about the first one and dresses it up for fall. The new silhouette is longer for cooler temperatures. The shirring stems from the neck, instead of across the shoulders, for a different mood. For fall, the french dress comes in a new fabric from Japan which comprises cotton, ramie, and linen. Ramie is a cousin of linen; this bast fiber has been cultivated in Asia for thousands of years and is similar in structure to flax, the plant which linen comes from. The combination of natural fibers in this fabric is surprisingly strong but also possesses a unique, subtle texture. The fabric style is called "typewriter cloth," in reference to the tightness of the weave. It feels like a refined canvas; structured, hard-wearing, and subtly intriguing. Available in deep blue and marble green.
