Sailor Pant in Artichoke Canvasblluemade
The sailor pant has quickly become a beloved classic for us. Inspired by a vintage Japanese uniform trouser and U.S. naval pants from the 1940's, this style has inverted front pleats, a lowered belt loop with a triangle dart, and a nice, wide leg for a flattering, comfortable fit. The summation of parts of these throwback styles feels just right for today. Available in indigo cotton corduroy and a unique cotton blend canvas, both from Japan. The cotton canvas is blended with linen and ramie, a cousin of the flax plant native to China, for an unexpectedly beautiful texture. The weave is a tight "typewriter cloth," a Japanese style of fabric named for its similarity to typewriter ribbon. The dye process lends to subtle natural variation in color throughout this truly special fabric.
