Tuxedo Shirt in Deep Blueblluemade
Our tuxedo-style shirt derives from a 1920s silk piece from our vintage collection. Details like an extended cuff and rounded monk collar elevate this shirt for everyday wear. We've updated the style by adding buttons to the cuff and reinterpreted the silhouette in a gorgeous natural fabric from Japan. This fabric comprises cotton, ramie, and linen. Ramie is a cousin of linen; this bast fiber has been cultivated in Asia for thousands of years and is similar in structure to flax, the plant which linen comes from. The combination of natural fibers in this fabric is surprisingly strong but also possesses a unique, subtle texture. The fabric style is called "typewriter cloth," in reference to the tightness of the weave. It feels like a refined canvas; structured, hard-wearing, and subtly intriguing. Available in citrine and deep blue.
