We had a wonderful time shooting our friend Victoria Camblin in select pieces from blluemade staples no.1. Victoria is an arts writer, curator, and editor who has lived in Berlin, Cambridge, and New York, and currently calls Atlanta home. We took pictures in the office of ART PAPERS, where she is editor and artistic director. More on Victoria below.
--Editor + Artistic Director, ART PAPERS
currently listening to:
--Miami Vice soundtrack (Jan Hammer, Godley & Creme); the Future
--Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy with a dash of Basic Instinct-era Sharon Stone: black, white, and beige outfits; men's shirts; accessorizing with red lipstick or pearl earrings (but rarely both)
what do you look for in clothing?
--low-maintenance + polyvalence; well-cut basics in high-quality materials
--anything that doesn't force me to change between work and evening plans. Lately I'm a pants person, and the blluemade slouch pants hang perfectly, and work from meetings and long desk hours to drinks in the evening or art openings. Linen is perfect for the warm Atlanta climate and will travel really well to art fairs and events in East Asia, Europe, the Middle East...
what's your next trip?
-- Hong Kong for the Art Basel fair there. I'm moderating a panel on art and infrastructure. ART PAPERS is looking a lot at "comparative infrastructure" this year, and we'll have urban design and culture leaders from Atlanta and HK on the podium together, looking at case studies from local public life, in global terms.
